Anime Series for Testament of New Devil Sister

One day, Basara’s father brings home two beautiful girls and introduces them as his new siblings. However, it isn’t long before he learns that these two girls are actually demons. More specifically, the former demon lord’s only daughter and her succubus servant. Of course, Basara himself is a former member of Heroes, an organization sworn to fight demons. However, after developing feelings for them, he decides to protect his new sisters instead.

I know why you watch this series. You know why you watch this series. Let me introduce you to more series like it.

For Fans of Demon King Daughters

Aesthetica of a Rogue Hero

Several selected members from Earth were chosen and sent to other worlds. Only about half of them returned, with many who did bringing back several trinkets. For Akatsuki, what he brought back was not a trinket, but the daughter of the demon lord he defeated.

In both anime series you have guys who were heroes that end up living with daughters of a demon king that used to be their enemy. Instead of being enemies, they end up as allies, friends, and maybe more. Regardless, it is up to them to protect their demonic wards.

I Couldn’t Become a Hero, So I Reluctantly Decided to Get a Job

Dreaming of becoming a hero, Raul joined the Hero Training program. Unfortunately, with the demon king defeated, there is no market for heroes. Instead, Raul gets a job at an electronics store. He soon finds out that his new co-worker is in fact the old demon king’s daughter.

In a similar vein to Testament, this series features a guy that ends of working with a woman that once could have been their enemy. While both somewhat ecchi, I Couldn’t Become a Hero is, very obviously, more comedy oriented rather than having a serious plot.

To Love-Ru

All the timid Rito wants is to confess his love to a girl in class. However, things quickly become complicated when one night a naked girl comes crashing on him while he is in the bath. This girl, as it turns out, is an alien princess on the run and she wants to marry him to avoid a political marriage. Thus begins Rito’s endless days of struggle.

Both anime series are heavy ecchi comedies where demons and humans cohabitate and get up to all sorts of shenanigans. While To Love Ru attempts plot, it is nowhere near as serious as Testament.

For Fans of Demons and Heroes

Archenemy and Hero

After fifteen years of warfare with the demon world, the Hero is unsatisfied with their advance and rushes forward to the Demon Queens Castle. There he not only finds a beautiful woman that is the queen, but she needs his help. To his surprise, she offers a way to not only help his country, but hers as well. Together, they join forces to make that dream a reality.

If you enjoyed Testament, but want something similar and, for some reason, less ecchi, this is the series. It features serious dynamics between humans and demons without all the very obvious fan service.

Demon King Daimao

Dreaming of changing the world for good, Akuto Sai transfers to the Constant Magic Academy, but his simple school life all changes when it is prophesized that he will become the fierce and evil Demon King. Although his school mates now fear him, Akuto will not let his destiny lead him off his path.

These series are often used interchangeably. They have different plots, but they have similar harems, are both just over the top ecchi about demons, and they tend to kind of blend because of that.

High School DxD

Average pervert Issei Hyoudou has done nothing productive with his life save for dreaming of attracting a harem. Things are looking up when a girl asks him on a date, but unfortunately she turns out to be a fallen angel and brutal kills him. However, he gets a second chance at life when a classmate (and devil) revives him to be her servant.

Despite what they are (excuses for lewd-i-tude), both Testament and High School DxD make a pretty earnest try at having a plot. However, unlike Testament, High School DxD ends up with the better plot.

For Fans of Naughty Power-Ups

Masou Gakuen HxH

Kizuna possess the Heart Hybrid Gear, but is not particularly strong. His older sister ends up dragging him to transfer to a special school, mainly inhabited by women, where he is trained to fight invaders.

In both series, you find that in order to power up members of their harems, they have to…do something to them. Something lewd. They both make attempts at plot, but they are very weak, and as such, you know why people watch them anyway.

The Qwaser of Stigmata

After two sisters find a wounded man, they bring him back home. That very same night, a serial killer that has been prowling the area breaks into their home. They end up being saved by this man who reveals himself as a Qwaser, a person capable of controlling chemical elements by partaking in Soma, obtained through the breasts of women.

In Testament, the main character essentially needs to make his girls have an O-face to power up. In Qwaser, Sasha gets his power from sucking on… things. Even if you are watching for those specific reasons, Qwaser ends up weirdly enthralling.

Valkyrie Drive

Mamori is a naive high school girl whose world gets turned upside down when she is kidnapped and stranded on the exotic island of Mermaid. However, she is not alone, joined by fellow castaway Mirei. Unfortunately, Mirei introduces herself by giving Mamori a passionate kiss, thus unlocking her hidden potential and the pair become a battle duo with powers fueled by arousal. Together, they now battle their way across the island.

If you wish there were less men in Testament, then this is for you! It is still a very ecchi show, it is just of a more yuri nature. Still, it also requires lewd action to power up their partners.
